Brenda Ferguson

I've always been drawn to storytelling. I grew up making silly home movies with a 90's camcorder and editing them using two VCRs plugged into each other. That turned into short films with my friends in high school. As an adult, my husband and I joined an improv theater troupe, where we performed and taught the art of storytelling for more than a decade. It was through improv that I truly learned the power of life-changing stories. But, after having children, improv had to take a backseat in our lives. Still driven to create stories, I realized I just had to transition how they were told. So, I stepped off the stage and picked up a pen. Between the Shards (and its upcoming trilogy) is the result.

 

And, of course, my husband and I still entertain our two daughters with improvised bedtime stories every night.
